Kiddies…I am D O N E

WARNING: Accutane is a serious drug that can have long term effects on your liver, skin, joints and more. Try the Acne Products out there first. We recommend Murad Acne Complex.
Peace out, Accutane. I h-l-a-o-t-v-e-e you. You have been good to me.
I am dunzo, I am dunzo… tralalalalalaaaahhh!!! Absolutely fantastic! Superbly Splendid! I have completed my 5 month long treatment and I am free to go…for now…
Breakouts: Welp, I have virtually stopped breaking out (except for the occasional blunder caused by not washing my face the night before). I am so much happier with my skin now than I ever could have been before. I am not 100% happy with it because it isn’t perfect but I guess, for me, this is as good as it’s gonna get. And it is pretty damn good for me = )
Dry Skin: My skin is the same yet I have been getting a lot of comments that I am “red” or “burnt” and I tend to stick to the burnt excuse. I think that the accutane made me red and it won’t go away… Whatever, though, it’s the summer and I can pull off a little burnt appearance… I think if I stayed out of the sun for a while, the redness would subside.
Lips: The same. Nothing exciting going on there at all. Chapped, dry, and un-moisturized until I put my little paws on them to moisturize them right back up! How amazing will it be when I don’t need to moisturize every 5 seconds? The answer to that question is… pretty fucking amazing.
Body: Noticed a new development. Whenever I scratch my neck or upper back with my nails, I get this sensation of a pain a few seconds after. It is like getting that horrible aftertaste of something narsty but instead of something narsty it is scratching an itch and instead of a horrible taste, it is just painful. It feels as though I have clawed myself. It must be from how dry my skin is because I can’t think of anything else! Who hates putting on sunscreen and looking like a grease ball? It’s me! It’s me! But remember kiddies, you gotta put that SPF on if you don’t want to cry yourself to sleep at night! My back pains have gotten almost unnoticeably better but just ever so slightly…I want these back pains gone now, damnit! Also, I gained all the weight back that I lost from going off birth control…I am an absolute clown.
Spanky, I know what you mean…I am happy however nervous at the same time. I am just scared that it’s effects won’t follow me forever and that my skin will go right back to the way it was before I started. I really hope it doesn’t…I actually hope that it continues to get better! Haha, thanks for the helpful words though!
JJ, My back pains are still pretty bad…It is right around my middle-upper back area and quite bothersome. I constantly feel the need to crack it but I just can’t make the pain stop! I stopped seeing the chiropractor cuz he was absolutely no help (even though I only went twice lol). I’m just gonna give it a few weeks, like you said, before I make a decision about what to do next. Good luck with the Vaseline!! Haha, I’m kidding…but not really, whatever gets the job done.
Dave, you are like a walking advertisement for Accutane, haha… and that was the longest comment ever, but I appreciate it anyway = ) I’m nervous to try your little toothpaste remedy but I will do so in the near future, it intrigues me. I am glad your working out cuz I kinda got lazy. I wore heels to work and got these HUGE blisters which have given me plenty of an excuse not to work out for a while…I am lame. But the rumors are true, that chemical released into your brain is endorphins and endorphins make you happy! (thanks Legally Blonde, you actually taught me something…) Haha, anyway…I am done but you are still on Month 3 which meanss….keep me updated!
Hey DJ, I am actually from CT and the sun is not very strong unless I am laying in the sun at the beach. If you know that you will be spending a lot of time in the sun for a day, then I would say 30 spf that ish up… (no one wants that sunglasses tan). You’ll get real burnt if you don’t watch out. I would say it takes less than half the time to get double the tan from how I useda be in previous summers. Haha, are you thinking about going on Accutane?
Schnazzle, though I do agree that Aquaphor is my own little slice of heaven, I do hate having to apply it by finger and therefore go for the waxy chapsticks. They don’t help as much as just cover the problem until later. But it is a personal preference decision.
I will be sure to add some more updates as the weeks go by and let you know what life is like post-accutane…LOVE
horrible picture…sorry!
