I also wanted to ask id you put anything on your face when you broke out. I have the HORRIBLE tendency not have whiteheads and pick...I know, I know. I'm trying REALLY hard to stop. I'm trying to stop touching my face but sometimes it itches and I'm getting annoyed it's not clearing up yet. I'm going to find out if there's anything the derm can give me to help the little suckers heal better...just wondering if there was anything you did that helped!

Hey girlie, I just wanted to say don't worry about getting preggo later on. You just have to be off of the Accutane for at least one month so it is not in your system anymore. It is a form of vitamin A so it does filter out of your body relatively fast. That's what my doctor said anyway. You can't donate blood for at least a month too because of that. Anyway, glad you are almost done...and getting results! I go back to my dermatologist in 9 days and he will increase my dosage. My skin is just not clear at all yet. So far I am not too dry and my lips aren't bad, they just need a little aquaphor now and then. I did the same as you guys though and got stupidly burnt a couple days ago. Blisters on my shoulders...which I have NEVER had before! Oh well...have a great week.

Hi! I'm back again. I've been reading your blogs every week, and like a little series.book, I wonder what's going to happen next! So thank you again for sharing =) So I made the same mistake as you did and came of the beach on this GORGEOUS day like a burnt sausage. My legs are hurting pretty bad, and I really didn't burn where I had slathered up the sunscreen. I'm thinking of moving onto the babies 50+ spf since I'm starting month 3 and have 2 more to make it through. I'm hoping that my lotion-ing up religiously will help soothe any problems and I'm trying to stay out of the sun for the rest of the week. So I've been using Aquaphor for my lips and it's really worked, as it also adds a nice gloss and saves you bringing along any extra lip color =) The downside of that stuff is that it doesn't have any SPF so I was wondering what you found worked. Also, what was that face lotion you were using? I've been using Aveeno Ultra-Calming and it's worked beautifully, it's just that it's pretty pricey. Anywho, kudos to you almost being done1 I'm rootin' for ya!

Great journal. Been reading for a few weeks. First time replying. Saw that episode of The Office. Not the funniest joke in the world but a nice bit of inside humor to Accutane users.
BTW, I'm 3 mos. into my second course of Accutane. First course was 10 years ago, and I ultimately needed a second. Most don't have probs with acne after one course, as I'm sure you know; hope yours sticks.
