Accutane Week Two (Isotretinoin)
January 25th, 2008
WARNING: Accutane is a serious drug that can have long term effects on your liver, skin, joints and more. Try the Acne Products out there first. We recommend Murad Acne Complex.
Ok, Week Two is over… and the Accutante treatment side effects are starting to emerge.
Recently I have been on the bottle again and haven’t taken my pills on time, oh no! I haven’t noticed anything negative as a result of this but i’ve only effed up the last two days. Also, I didn’t wash my face last night….BAD NEWS. Alright, broken up changes in my situation down below.
Dry Skin: My skin is a little less dry than it was last week. I don’t use the harsh face creams anymore and moisturzing my face in the morning and at night seems to be doing a supreme job of keeping it moisturized. The only place it gets bad is around my mouth and this is only after like eating or if I don’t moisturize my lips.
Breakouts: I haven’t been breaking out NEARLY as much as I used to but, being the huge flaming asshole that I am, I blacked out last night and didn’t wash my face. I broke out pretty bad however it doesn’t help that I touched my face mad today. My skin, overall, is a lot better though and the accutane seems to be drying my face out in the exact way that it should be. Hoorah!
Lips: My lips are unacceptably dry. It feels like I have minor cotton mouth alll the time. When I actually do get cottonmouth for legit reasons, if you know what I mean, it gets sooo bad. I feel like I need to drink water all the time and I need to put on chapstick all the damn time. I love Aquaphor but I don’t like the finger application part of it. I also bite my lips on the inside which makes things a lot worse.
Body: My hands are so dry! I haven’t really noticed any side effects in my body besides this so that is deffinetly a plus!
Accutane Week Two, I am done with you. Woohoo! I am such a cool cat…
I’ll let you know how Week Three goes.

oh man, the second week sounds intense, but I guess its not a bad price to pay if the end result is flawless skin…
I am huge fan of spicy food though, so I don’t know if can can give it up…Can you still eat hot foods or does hurt to the point that you cant eat it?

I am the spicy food eater to the extreme…like literally eat jalepenos out of the jar lol. Spicy food doesn’t really bother me any differently than it did before (which it does, but it is totally worth it). The only thing I could think is if some spicy juice hits your lips and burns but it’s STILL worth it haha…hope that helps!
